Intellego Technologies is a rapidly growing research and development company based in Stockholm, Sweden. The company’s primary goal is to develop its patented dosimeter technology, manufactured in Sweden, including the Smartsun UV indicator.
Our client had raised capital through a Swedish partner, FundedByMe, to build out the new Smartsun range of UV indicator technology. As part of the FundedByMe partner network, HANGAR49 came on board for a special short-term project to quickly raise Intellego’s profile after receiving funding. We facilitated a face-to-face meeting for the client with one of China’s tech unicorns in Beijing, while also setting up a meeting with the managing director of one of the world’s largest lubricant companies in Madrid. We identified a broader opportunity to market the UV technology, by promoting the material in itself. After addressing the idea with the client, we shifted the value proposition to apply to sporting goods, event sponsors, F&B, and outdoor events.
We conducted global outreach methods to brand managers and product teams, managing to connect with key players in the skincare and cosmetic fields. At our client’s request, we began approaching businesses within the skincare vertical to market the UV indicators as wristbands and patches.
